Chandigarh, April 7 -- A special CBI court on Monday sentenced four former police officials to five years' of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2 lakh each in the 18-year-old Moga sex scandal case.

The accused include then SSP Davinder Singh Garcha, then SP (HQs) Paramdeep Singh Sandhu, then Inspector Raman Kumar and then Inspector Amanjeet Singh. Raman Kumar was also convicted for extortion and was sentenced to three years' extra imprisonment with a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

The court had convicted the above former cops on March 29. Two accused were acquitted.
