Phagwara, June 7 -- The Cyber Crime Police Kapurthala has registered a case against a woman for allegedly creating a fake Instagram account using a man's identity and uploading objectionable photos.
The accused has been identified as Gurjeet Kaur of Jathere Mohalla in Ajit Nagar.
According to the police, the complaint was filed by Amrik Singh, who alleged that Gurjeet Kaur had created a fake Instagram profile using his name and uploaded obscene images on it.
During the investigation, police traced the operation of the account to Gurjeet Kaur's mobile phone.
Based on the findings, a case has been registered against the accused.
No arrest has been made so far. The police are investigating the matter.
