Chandigarh, March 21 -- The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), in collaboration with the Health and Food Safety (HFS) Department on Friday conducted surprise inspections at food processing factories and shops in Amritsar city.

The inspection targeted unhygienic and unlicensed establishments, particularly those manufacturing Soya Champs and Momos.

An official spokesperson for the VB stated that in line with the directives issued by the Punjab Government, a joint team comprising VB officials and Food Safety department Officers carried out inspections on unhygienic factories and shops producing food items, across various localities in the city.
