Chandigarh, April 9 -- Punjab has officially entered the next phase of its "Sikhya Kranti" (education revolution) with the launch of Mission Samrath 4.0, a flagship foundational learning programme aimed at achieving international standards in public education.

The initiative was unveiled today by Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. A standout feature of this new phase is the introduction of a state-wide attendance-linked reform, where parents will receive daily SMS alerts regarding their child's presence in school, fostering real-time accountability and safety.
