Chandigarh, April 25 -- The Punjab Police launched a massive state-wide crackdown on Saturday as part of its ongoing 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, reaching its 95th day of operations aimed at eradicating organized crime.
Police teams conducted 577 simultaneous raids at mapped locations linked to gangster associates across all districts. The operation, coordinated by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), resulted in the arrest of 309 individuals and the recovery of seven weapons. Since the campaign's inception on January 20, 2026, the total number of arrests has now climbed to 23,989.
In addition to the primary arrests, law enforcement took preventive action against 64 individuals and successfully apprehended five proclaimed offenders. Poli...
