Chandigarh, April 23 -- The Punjab Police on Thursday further accelerated its 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign, conducting 557 targeted raids across the state to dismantle organized crime networks.
Now in its 93rd day, the operation led by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) resulted in the arrest of 252 individuals and the recovery of three illegal weapons. Since the campaign's inception on January 20, 2026, the state police have apprehended a total of 23,392 suspects.
Authorities also took preventive action against 73 individuals and arrested six proclaimed offenders, while urging citizens to share anonymous tips via the dedicated Anti-Gangster Helpline number 93946-93946.
