Chandigarh, Sept. 28 -- Continuing the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" (War Against Drugs) campaign, Punjab Police carried out raids at 332 locations across the state today.

The coordinated action, part of the government's ongoing drive to eliminate the drug menace, marked the 210th consecutive day of operations and led to the arrest of 66 drug smugglers following the registration of 53 first information reports (FIRs). With this, the total number of drug smugglers arrested has reached 31,145 in 210 days.

The raids also led to the recovery of 431 grams of heroin, 1,608 intoxicant tablets/capsules, and Rs 42,250 in drug money from the arrested smugglers.
