Chandigarh, March 5 -- In a massive crackdown against organised crime, the Punjab Police on Thursday carried out 511 coordinated raids across the state as part of the ongoing 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign.
Executed under the direct instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the operation targeted identified locations linked to associates of various gangsters. On this 44th day of the intensive drive on Thursday, police teams successfully arrested 207 individuals and recovered two weapons from their possession.
This latest action brings the total number of arrests under the campaign to 12,919 since its inception on January 20, 2026, under the direction of Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.
