Chandigarh, March 21 -- Punjab police said on Saturday they had arrested two men allegedly planning to rob a businessman and recovered two illegal pistols and four live cartridges in a joint operation by the state's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Bathinda Police.

The suspects, identified as Jacky Kumar, a resident of Parasram Nagar and Vikas Arora of Vishal Nagar, both residents of Bathinda, were intercepted near Mittal Mall in the city's Panchwati area acting on a tip-off that the pair were armed and planning a robbery, police said.
