Chandigarh, May 9 -- The Tarn Taran police busted an international narco-terror smuggling module. Two operatives, Lovepreet Singh and Jagroop Singh, were arrested with 7 pistols with live cartridges, 5 kg heroin worth Rs 35 crore in international market, Rs 7.20 lakh drug money and a currency counting machine, police said. DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on Friday that a preliminary investigation revealed the accused were in direct contact with Pakistan-based smugglers and foreign handlers. Yadav said an FIR has been registered at Tarn Taran. Further investigation is underway. UNI GS PRS
