Chandigarh, Aug. 18 -- Sukhpal Singh Khaira, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Punjab, has submitted a formal complaint to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, calling for immediate action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia.
The complaint, dated August 18, 2025, alleges that Sisodia made provocative statements encouraging party workers to use unethical and potentially illegal tactics to secure victory in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
In his letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Khaira expressed alarm over Sisodia's alleged remarks, which reportedly urged AAP workers to adopt "every method available, including Saam, Daam, Dhand, Bhed" (persuasion, inducement, coercion, and division).
