Chandigarh, May 14 -- Taking stern action against dereliction of duty, Punjab's Local Government Minister Ravjot Singh on Wednesday suspended the Executive Officer (EO) of Dera Bassi after finding lack of progress in cleanliness initiatives.
During a surprise inspection of sanitation work in Dera Bassi, he expressed dissatisfaction with the ground realities and the lack of progress in cleanliness initiatives. He suspended the EO Vijay Kumar and asked him to report to the local government Head office, until further notice.
