Chandigarh, May 16 -- A general strike on May 20 against privatisation and labour codes, called by Central Trade Unions, has been deferred to July 9 due to the current situation in the aftermath of Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.
All India State Employees Federation (AISEF) chief Subhash Lamba on Friday said the decision was taken at an online meeting by Central trade unions on Thursday evening. He said his organisation endorsed the decision in its meeting.
Lamba said that it has been decided that on May 20 employees and labourers would stage protests at their respective offices and district headquarters.
