Chandigarh, Dec. 22 -- : The Punjab and Haryana High Court has expressed serious concern over the delay in establishing government-run old age homes for senior citizens in both states. The notice was issued following a contempt petition filed by Mohali Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, who stated that the governments have not complied with previous court undertakings.

A bench led by Justice Vikram Agrawal directed Punjab, Haryana, and GMADA officials to submit a status report and response by February 10, the next date of the hearing.
