Hoshiarpur (Punjab), March 19 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid a poignant visit to Jandour village in Hoshiarpur district on Tuesday to console the grieving family of constable Amritpal Singh and announced that the government would construct a stadium named after the martyred cop.
The courageous cop lost his life when he was hit by a bullet purportedly fired by an alleged miscreant during a police raid in Mansoorpur village of Hoshiarpur district last Sunday.
The alleged miscreant Sukhwinder Singh met his end in a police encounter on Monday evening.
