Chandigarh, March 23 -- In a landmark move to resolve a decades-old land dispute, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, announced plans to grant permanent ownership rights to residents and shopkeepers occupying more than 800 acres of surplus land in Nangal and surrounding townships.
