Chandigarh, Sept. 14 -- Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian today said that the state government has deputed nodal chairmen and members to assist in the assessment of flood damage and ensure effective execution of relief and rehabilitation works across the state.
The Cabinet Minister said that the unprecedented floods have caused massive destruction in Punjab. In view of this, the government has identified 2,303 villages that require urgent support for basic relief measures and resettlement.
