Chandigarh, Dec. 3 -- Two critical regional issues concerning Punjab and Chandigarh were highlighted in Parliament on Wednesday, with MPs from AAP and Congress demanding urgent government action on long-pending matters.
Malvinder Singh Kang, AAP MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib, raised the devastating impact of floods that affected over 2,500 villages and destroyed nearly 500,000 acres of crops. Kang criticised the central government, stating that despite visits from the Prime Minister and several union ministers, no relief funds have been disbursed till date.
