Chandigarh, May 14 -- While welcoming the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the Punjab unit of Communist Party of India (CPI) on Wednesday demanded a clarification from the Indian government on whether the Pahalgam terror attack, like Pulwama, "was again a failure of intelligence agencies or whether the government itself bears responsibility".
The party also questioned the meaning of the ceasefire agreement signed "under American pressure" and asked when the terrorists responsible for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack will be caught
The CPI said that the India-Pakistan ceasefire, declared before a full-scale war could erupt, has allowed the people of the country, especially in Punjab, to breathe a sigh of relief.
