Chandigarh, May 1 -- In an intelligence-based operation, sleuths of the Counter Intelligence Amritsar busted an international narcotics smuggling network operated by foreign-based individual Jassa and his associates, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said here on social media X on Thursday. The network has links to Pakistan-based smugglers, Yadav added, adding the police recovered 5 kg heroin and a currency counting machine in the raid. Yadav said preliminary investigation revealed that Jassa and his foreign-based accomplices have established links with their India-based associate, Jodhbir Singh alias Jodha, a resident of Amritsar Rural.
