Chandigarh, June 26 -- Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has released financial assistance amount of Rs. 5 lakh for the treatment of triple hockey Olympic gold medallist and former Sports Director Balbir Singh Senior who is undergoing treatment at PGI here. The cheque was handed over by the Director Sports, Punjab and Additional Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister Amrit Kaur Gill here on Wednesday. The Director Sports said that she has directed the Sports Department to leave no stone unturned in ensuring top level treatment to Mr Singh.
