Chandigarh, Sept. 25 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, reiterating the state government's commitment to maintaining law and order, on Wednesday instructed Commissioners of Police (CPs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to adopt a zero-tolerance approach toward crime and criminal elements.

During a virtual meeting with CPs and SSPs, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for robust arrangements to ensure public safety and smooth conduct of events ahead of the festive season. He highlighted potential challenges such as increased anti-social activities, risks of stampedes, theft, snatching, and attempts by anti-national elements to disrupt peace.
