Chandigarh, Oct. 29 -- In a major step toward transparent and citizen-friendly governance, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched the state's first-ever Faceless RTO Services, making Punjab the first state in India to completely digitise transport-related public services.

To mark the symbolic end of corruption and bureaucratic hurdles in the Regional Transport Offices, Chief Minister Mann locked the RTO office in Ludhiana, declaring that citizens would now receive all RTO-related facilities directly at their doorsteps through the helpline number 1076.
