Hoshiarpur (Punjab), March 29 -- As many as 17 people, including 10 children, fell ill after consuming food at a langar (community kitchen) organised at a temple in Binewal village of Garhshankar subdivision last evening, an official said.
The affected people experienced abdominal cramps and vomiting, after eating noodles, pakoras, and tea at the langar organised at a temple in the village.
They were initially admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Binewal and referred to the Civil Hospital, Garhshankar for further treatment, said Dr Santokh, Senior Medical Officer of the hospital.
All the patients are out of danger, and their health is being monitored, Dr Santokh added.
