Phagwara, April 17 -- Kapurthala police on Thursday seized 1.5 kg heroin valuing more than Rs 7 crore in international market from three drug smugglers at Dhilwan Hi-Tech Naka.
SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Toor and SP (Inv) Prabhjot Singh Virk said the arrested smugglers have taken this consignment from Amritsar and were going towards Jalandhar for its delivery.
All the accused were intercepted at Dhilwan Hi-Tech Naka by police and 1.5 kg heroin was seized.
The arrested smugglers were identified as Deep Singh, Baljinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh all residents of Jalandhar.
Police said accused Baljinder Singh was already facing two criminal cases under NDPS act and was on bail.
