Amritsar, Jan. 27 -- Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday condemned the desecration of the statue of Baba Saheb BR Ambedkar and attempt to break it.
Majithia demanded a high level probe to uncover the pre-planned and premeditated conspiracy to create division in civil society and disturb peace and communal harmony in Punjab.
He said "the very fact that the attack on the statue was conducted on Republic Day when the entire
state as well as the holy city was in a state of high alert, had exposed the total failure of the Amritsar Police Commissionerate.
