Rupnagar, June 3 -- One woman devotee died and 13 others were injured when the compressor of an air conditioner burst during a religious congregation at a Gurdwara near here in Punjab on Tuesday,
The incident happened while bhog and antim ardas (final prayer) of Sant Khushhal Singh was on at Gurdwara Sant Baba Jogg Head Darbar Kot Puran.
The injured were rushed to Parmar hospital, which has confirmed the death of the woman.
The deceased has been identified as Kashmir Kaur (62) of Hargobind Nagar Rupnagar.
Another woman who sustained serious burn injuries has been referred to the PGIMER Chandigarh. The other 12 injured are stable.
It may be recalled that a large number of political leaders were also present during antim ardas.
