Chandigarh, Feb. 19 -- The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, on Monday has arrested a private person Pardeep Kumar,of Khalwara colony, Phagwara, Kapurthala district for demanding a bribe of Rs One lakh in the name of Tehsildar and Manager Fard Kendar Phagwara.
An official spokesperson of the state VB said on Monday, this case has been registered against the said accused on an online complaint lodged by Manjit Singh of village Madhopur in tehsil Phagwara on the Chief Minister anti corruption action line.
