Nakodar, Nov. 28 -- In a humane act on the part of Nakodar Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Poonam Singh, a reindeer (Barasinga) who fell in sewer hole was rescued safely, it was reported on Sunday.
The incident happened on Saturday night.
SDM Poonam Singh rushed to the spot immediately after getting the news summoned the municipal committee staff who managed to rescue the reindeer after a few hours.
SDM Poonam Singh later said that the rescued reindeer was admitted in the veterinary hospital Nakodar and was being treated.
