Chandigarh, Feb. 20 -- Acting swiftly on forward-backwards linkages in the heroin recovery case, Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar has arrested one more drug smuggler and recovered 3 kg of heroin from his possession, taking the total seizure in the case to 13 kg, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said here on Thursday.
The arrested accused has been identified as Lovepreet Singh of Main Bazar in Attari, Amritsar.
The development came a day after the police had busted a cross-border drug smuggling racket with the arrest of Harmandeep Singh of village Ghumanpura in Amritsar and recovered 10 kg of heroin from his possession.
