Chandigarh, April 1 -- Punjab Police have busted a cross-border drug smuggling racket with the arrest of an alleged drug smuggler with purported links to a Pakistani criminal and recovered 3.5 kg heroin from his possession in Ferozepur district, the state's top cop said on Tuesday.

State Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said here that the Counter Intelligence (CI) wing, Ferozepur, busted the racked by nabbing the accused identified as Sukhdev Singh alias Sukhi of Mohan Ke Uttarin in the district. Apart from recovering heroin, police have also impounded the motorcycle he was riding.
