Chandigarh, May 9 -- The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on
Friday gave the nod for purchasing anti drone system (ADS) to check the smuggling of weapons and drugs through drone on the borders.
A spokesperson of the CMO said that nine ADS will be installed along the 532KM border with Pakistan. He said such systems will help in checking the smuggling of drugs and weapons along the border through the drones. Mann said that Rs 51.41 crore will be spent by the state government for this Nobel initiative aimed at strengthening security along the border.
