Phagwara, Feb. 19 -- The Punjab and Haryana High Court has adjourned hearing on a petition filed by film and television producer-director Ekta Kapoor concerning an over 11-year-old case registered against her in Jalandhar district for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the Valmiki community.

The petition was listed before a bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Berry on Tuesday. The court adjourned the case to September 16.

The case was registered by the police on August 16, 2013, and the petition was filed the next year.
