Sangrur (Punjab), Feb. 7 -- A farmer couple died by suicide in model town village near Sunam in Sangrur, sources said on Friday.
AAP leader and PUNSEED Chairman Mahindra Singh Sidhu, who belongs to the same village, expressed grief over the incident.
He said that Balbir Singh had four acres of land and was facing economic hardship due to the losses.
Singh and his wife Sukhpal Kaur reportedly consumed some poisonous substance.
