Amritsar, March 18 -- In a joint operation, BSF and Punjab police laid an ambush in village Dal following intelligence inputs about cross-border smuggling using drones. A BSF spokesman said here on Tuesday that during the operation, the ambush team spotted two individuals attempting to retrieve a consignment. As they tried to flee, the team swiftly chased and apprehended them. He said that a search of the smugglers led to the recovery of a packet of heroin weighing 557 gms, two mobile phones and one motorcycle.
