Chandigarh, June 18 -- Ceongress candidate for Punjab's Ludhiana West Assembly bypolls, scheduled for Thursday, today wrote to the Election Commission of India (ECI) alleging that the state's ruling Aam Aadmi Party was misusing official machinery.
Ashu has alleged, inter-alia, "harassment" of opposition workers from police, distribution of cash, gifts, inducements to bribe voters and using state machinery in campaigning for AAP candidate.
He has demanded the removal of the Ludhiana police commissioner, deployment of CAPF and to initiate independent inquiry into misuse of government machinery. UNI GS MR SSP
