Pune, Oct. 9 -- Pune Zilla Parishad has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jivika Foundation to launch a comprehensive health initiative titled "Cervical Free Pune."The MoU was formally signed by Shri Gajanan Patil, Chief Executive Officer, Pune Zilla Parishad, and Shri Jignesh Patel, Director, Jivika Foundation.
Under this collaboration, Pune Zilla Parishad and Jivika Foundation will work together to ensure 100 percent HPV vaccination coverage for all girls aged 9 to 14 years, aimed at preventing cervical cancer across the district.
Additionally, the initiative includes the screening of all single women for oral, breast, and cervical cancers, thereby promoting early detection and better health outcomes.
