Pune, Sept. 28 -- In a shocking revelation, Nilesh Ghaywal, who has a criminal record under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) and other serious offenses, obtained a passport by providing a fake address in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He has fled to London.

Police investigations have raised serious questions about how the local police issued him a "No Objection Certificate" without verifying his criminal background.

Recently, Ghaywal's gang reportedly opened fire on an ordinary citizen over a trivial issue of motorcycle parking, and also attacked another person with a knife to instill fear. Following this, Ghaywal and his gang members were booked under the MCOCA provisions of the law.
