Pune, Feb. 26 -- In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old woman was raped inside a government-run bus at Swargate Bus Depot here while she was going to her village on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in the morning when the victim woman came to the bus depot and asked for a bus to Phaltan.
The alleged accused asked the woman to board the bus which was standing at the depot. Then he also got on to the bus and raped the woman.
The police have identified the alleged accused as Dattatray Ramdas Gade, who was absconding. A search was on to nab him, an officer said.
Eight police teams have been formed to trace the accused.
