Lucknow, May 20 -- In a step towards being self-sufficient, Uttar Pradesh state has seen a significant rise in the production and cultivation area of essential crops, including pulses and oilseeds, official sources said here on Tuesday.
Sources said that this progress paves the way for price stability in the years ahead, ensuring that rising costs neither push pulses out of the common man's plate nor reduce the availability of edible oil in the kitchen.
