Lucknow, Aug. 25 -- Expelled Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Puja Pal has hit back at SP national president Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that her life is in danger from "mafia and goons nurtured by the party".
Recalling the murder of her husband Raju Pal, Puja addressed Akhilesh Yadav through a letter today, launching a scathing attack on the SP's policy of protecting criminals and on her own expulsion from the party.
The letter, which has gone viral on social media, expressed her apprehension about safety. She said that when her husband was murdered, the Samajwadi Party was in power in the state, and therefore she fears that mafia elements supported by the SP could also get her killed.
