Visakhapatnam, April 12 -- Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita on Saturday stressed that coordinated efforts between public prosecutors and the police are essential to eradicate social evils such as bonded labour and human trafficking.
Addressing a state-level workshop on strengthening prosecution response to bonded labour and human trafficking in Visakhapatnam, Anita said public prosecutors must play an active role from the stage of filing charge sheets to ensure higher conviction rates.
The minister underlined the importance of timely evidence collection, describing the initial phase of investigation as the "golden hour", and said forensic teams must act promptly to gather crucial data.
