Lucknow, May 1 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure immediate compensation within 24 hours for families affected by loss of life due to unseasonal rain, thunderstorms, storms and lightning.
The CM has directed the District Magistrates in the affected areas to visit the sites personally, assess the crop damage and provide timely relief to the farmers. Sudden changes in weather conditions were reported across several districts of U, including Gorakhpur and Basti, where heavy rain, strong winds and lightning caused significant destruction.
