Shivamogga, July 14 -- A row appears to be brewing between the Centre and Karnataka's Congress-led government over protocol and coordination, as Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari arrived in Shivamogga today to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple key infrastructure projects, even as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declined participation citing lack of prior intimation.

The official ceremony, held in Sagara taluk of Shivamogga district, marked the launch of significant national highway initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and economic development in the state.
