Hyderabad, Dec. 22 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj, Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka on Monday called upon people to unite to protect the Employment Guarantee Act, alleging that the BJP-led Centre was systematically weakening the scheme.
Talking to media at Gandhi Bhavan, the Minister said safeguarding the Employment Guarantee Act was a collective responsibility. She announced that resolutions would be passed in villages across the state in support of the scheme and forwarded to the Central government.
Rallies would also be organised in villages on December 27 or 28 with the participation of newly elected sarpanches and ward members, she added.
