Dharamshala (Tapovan), Nov. 27 -- A proposal to declare the Holi-Utrala road as a National Highway will be sent to the Centre, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh informed the Assembly on Thursday while replying to a calling-attention motion moved under Rule 62 by BJP MLA Vipin Singh Parmar.

Singh said the 71-km stretch, connecting Holi-Garola in Chamba to Utrala in Kangra, is crucial for linking the tribal region with Kangra and easing travel for Gaddi pastoral communities. He said construction work is underway on various sections, including bridges, and that funds have been sanctioned under NABARD.
