Shimla, Feb. 15 -- Opposition BJP on Thursday criticised the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh for its proposal to downsize the pension fund of the state government employees by 20 percent.

Initiating the debate on the Governor's address on Thursday, former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said the Government has moved a file in the Finance department to cut down the size of pension funds of the state employees by 20 percent. He said the government has recently announced to revive the Old Pension scheme and it should not initiate steps counter to the new items.
