Property worth Rs 52 lakh of food inspector to be confiscated

Patna, Jan. 30 -- A special court of Patna ordered the confiscation of properties worth Rs 52 lakh 80 thousand 333 of a food inspector Surendra Kumar.

While issuing the confiscation order here on Thursday, Brajesh Kumar Pathak asked to confiscate the properties within a month.

Special Public Prosecutor ( PP) Rajesh Kumar said that a Disproportionate Asset case was registered against the then Food Inspector Surendra Kumar of Patna Division in 2013.

He said as per the charges the accused had collected assets over Rupees 1 crore 20 lakh 6984 disproportionate to the known sources of his income between 1979 to 2013.
