Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Leading figures from the Odia film industry on Monday urged the Odisha government to extend support for the production of films based on authentic Odia stories and to empower those working within the film fraternity.

They also recommended that the government enhance film production infrastructure in the state, increase the number of cinema halls, make cinema ticket prices more affordable for the general public, establish a dedicated film archive, and create a separate platform to promote OTT and digital content.
