Mangaluru, May 2 -- Prohibitory orders were imposed in Mangaluru on Friday following the brutal murder of Suhas Shetty, a known rowdy sheeter and the prime accused in the 2022 Fazil murder case.
Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal told reporters that the city police has issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents.
"We have assessed the situation and deployed adequate forces at sensitive locations. No processions will be allowed. The body of the deceased will be taken for final rites by ambulance under tight security," he said.
Shetty was killed by five-six unidentified assailants around 8.30 pm on Thursday night.
